140 days ago by Mark SheldonDuring the last month we have been working on the icookathome.com web application. We were approached in February by Brian Hartley of Business Acuity to help complete this problem ridden project.
The application calculates minute by minute cooking guides and shopping lists, for a variety of different dishes and meals. Even meals as complex as a Sunday Roast or Christmas Roast are catered for.
Some of the services we provided:
- Analysis and consultancy
- ASP.NET code re-engineering using object-orientated approach
- Stored procedure layer modifications
- SQL Server 2005 data migration and data cleansing
- CSS/XHTML design work

Taking on a part-developed project is always a risk, especially one so complex. However, we have just completed the 1st phase requirements and the site is now up and running.

New e-commerce web venture for SMCS
171 days ago by BobWe have recently teamed up with SMCS to develop an e-commerce facility for their new venture, selling low cost digital microscopy equipment.
As well as design, accessibility and usably the requirements include integration with manufacturers ordering systems and automating the shipping/tracking process.
The draft design work – all W3C compliant!
We plan to production test our new CMS environment on this project so check back for updates!

We have been working closely with Global Beach and Frosts Photo Centre to develop an online photographic ordering system for DogsTrusts’ comminity website.

With over 30,000 current users and growing fast, this has been one of largest recent projects.
The solution needed to integrated with the existing DoggySnaps website and provide automated print handling and processing for the Photo Labs to quickly produce and dispatch orders.
